     The late 90'S saw the emergence of workout till you drop / boot camp style approaches to health and fitness. While people thought that perceived exertion equated to money well spent, it didn't take long for the injuries to amass calling for a reform to this mentality.

     The early 2000's embraced the 'core' as a mainstay to a healthy, injury free lifestyle. Challenge was that training the core required a slower, more focused pace. In the late mid 2000's fitness leaders would add elements of exercise which made core training functional hence, coining the term functional fitness.

     Today any solid fitness program is based around functional fitness and while the mentality has recently shifted back to boot camps and high exertion routines, we are pioneering a new trend; destination Fitness.

     Destination Fitness simply denotes training for a destination one has a) always wanted to try or b) never thought they could accomplish. It is more inspiring use of one's training time instead of coming to the gym to go through the motions of 'losing 10 pounds', or getting a 'bigger chest'.
